For the 9th edition of the Indian Responsible Tourism Awards, I developed a culturally rooted identity system reflecting the collective spirit of responsible travel.
For the 9th edition of the Indian Responsible Tourism Awards, I developed a culturally rooted identity system reflecting the collective spirit of responsible travel.
A Tree of Life formed from individual fingerprints became the central motif, representing people as the drivers of sustainable growth. This idea expanded into a flexible visual language applied across award categories, stage environments and the official event report.

The fingerprint served as the generative unit of the identity system. Rather than remaining a static symbol, it evolved through stages of growth — branching, climbing and blooming — mirroring the collective expansion of responsible tourism initiatives.

Cultural Motifs
To represent the diversity of the responsible tourism ecosystem, we developed a set of culturally grounded motifs for each award category. Drawing from everyday objects, architecture and folk symbolism, each motif translates the spirit of its category into a simple and recognisable visual form.

The visual language extended beyond symbols into a broader communication system. The motifs, colours and structural elements were applied across digital announcements, stage design and the official event report, ensuring continuity throughout the awards ecosystem.

While green fingerprints anchored the event identity, in the official report, we introduced teal blue as a complementary yet differentiated tone. This was a conscious departure from conventional sustainability palettes.
